The new White Horses spa at Doonbeg Golf Resort, in West Clare, Ireland offers the perfect retreat for fatigued golfers.
The state-of-the-art new spa has been designed by internationally renowned Irish-born, Clodagh, to reflect its stunning setting in one of the most beautiful areas in Ireland. White Horse Spa was named after the waves in the adjoining Doughmore Bay, a one and a half mile long crescent-shaped bay renowned for its surfing waves.
Clodagh has used the natural elements of earth, water, fire and air to "free the mind rather than clutter it" with soft lighting and water features, wood and stone floors, antique beams and vaulted ceilings, complemented by specifically commissioned art pieces to reflect its stunning location by the wild Atlantic Ocean – the 'elements' theme continues in the fitness room where walls are adorned with a continuous image of the beach at Doonbeg. White Horses also sees the introduction into Ireland of the Kerstin Florian range of Californian spa products and treatments.
