Luxury Accommodation Meets Links Golf at Doonbeg

Doonbeg, County Clare, Ireland - Doonbeg Golf Club, one of Ireland's most prestigious golf destinations, will open The Lodge at Doonbeg Golf Club in May of 2006. With this addition, Doonbeg will be unique in Ireland, by offering a combination of luxury seaside accommodations, acclaimed links golf, and unparalleled service.

Doonbeg Golf Club is a private club with limited visitor access to golf and accommodation, upon availability. In addition to members'-only amenities, including a members' clubhouse, The Lodge complex - located adjacent to the course with sweeping views of the Atlantic - encompasses member-owned residences. These "suites," much more than traditional hotel rooms, offer differing configurations from one to four bedrooms along with the added space and convenience of a living room and kitchen. When our international members are not in residence, suites and golf access may be offered to visitors.

Easily accessible from Shannon airport, which is a mere 45-minute drive away, Doonbeg is set along 1.5 picturesque miles of crescent-shaped beach in southwest Ireland. Doonbeg will appeal not only to groups of golfers testing their skills on Greg Norman's signature links (which was named Golf Digest's "Best New International Course" in its opening year), but it will also appeal to couples and families on holiday looking for a home base from which to travel the country.
