PRESS RELEASE

Notable Names Have Joined Up with Doonbeg

Doonbeg, County Clare, Ireland - The membership roster at Doonbeg Golf Club includes former Presidents and Senators of Ireland and the US respectively, legendary sports figures, and captains of industry. Some of the Club's most renowned Members include Jim Nantz, Alan Gillespie, David Davenport, Wayne Huizenga, Donald McNamara, Terry Wogan, Greg Norman, Ronan Rafferty, Patrick Hillery, and George Mitchell.

Why do people who could play anywhere in the world want to return again and again to this windswept spot on the southwest coast of Ireland? According to Jim Nantz, former CBS sports anchor and 1998 National Sportscaster of the year, "Being a part of Doonbeg has been one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in golf. A world-class course with a legendary architect and now the showpiece - Lodge at Doonbeg. How do you top this?"

Alan Gillespie, member of Doonbeg's Advisory Board and chairman of Ulster Bank Group, a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, echoes Nantz's sentiments. "Doonbeg now offers an experience which is totally unique in Europe - the combination of a world class links course set in an unparalleled coastal location and accommodation and hospitality in a Clubhouse/Lodge of a standard above 'Four Seasons' quality, just a few meters from the first tee."

Who else steps up to the tees to be inspired by great golfing and Doonbeg's rugged beauty?
